Marseille vs Brest Match Preview
Marseille host Brest for their Matchday 15 clash on Friday evening after extending a three-match winning streak and making it to the 2nd spot in Ligue 1, now surely hoping they can build on the performances and catch up with the pace-setters PSG – who sit eight points in the clear at the moment.
Les Phoceens beat Lille (2-1) and Lyon (2-1) in front of the home fans ahead of the International break and returned with a 0-2 win in Toulouse, where Dario Benedetto and Nemanja Radonjic found the net in the final 15 minutes. Andre Villas-Boas’ men have been confident at home ground and we now hope for more of the same.
Brest have shown off their character early in the campaign and have a strong point in what still shapes to be a looming battle to escape relegation. They’ve seen just four losses this term but two of these came ahead of the International break, where Amiens (1-0) and PSG (1-2) bagged the points narrowly, and only ended the streak with a 1-1 draw against Nantes last week.
Les Ty’ Zefs have been conceding more goals on the road and this will be more worrying for Olivier Dall’Oglio, despite finding the net on the regular as well. They’ve seen their share of thrillers but still can hardly be satisfied with the tally. The visitors will now want more at Orange Velodrome but we don’t see them making it happen.
We’ll thus back Marseille to secure all three points in an exciting contest in front of the home fans, going for a Home win and a Yes on Both teams to score at 12/5 with bet365 and hoping for a thriller on Friday evening.
With that in mind, we’re going for goals too and Over 2.5 Goals FT comes off as great value at 17/20 with William Hill. Both sides have enjoyed such clashes lately and keep scoring (as well as conceding) numbers of goals on the regular.
