Marseille host Amiens for their Matchday 28 clash looking to build on the eight-point gap behind them as they sit 2nd placed after 27 games played despite losing on their consistency lately. They’ve seen Nantes (1-3) snatch all three points last time out at Velodrome but managed to bounce quickly in a five-goal thriller at Nimes (2-3), where a hat-trick from Dario Benedetto proved enough for the points.

Phocaeans have been scoring goals on the regular and while their defensive records of recent could feel worrying, Andre Villas-Boas has ground to build on at this ground. Indeed, his men kept two clean sheets in four games here in 2020 and we now feel they’ll be very tough to get past once again.

Amiens struggled to turn games their way and the wait for a Ligue 1 win extends over four months, which sees them sitting in the relegation zone at this point. Even more worryingly, they failed to find the net in any of their last two outings, where they saw Metz (0-1) snatch all important points and still held on to a goalless draw at Strasbourg.

Unicorns have proven themselves a tough nut to crack at Lyon beforehand too and the travelling fans will hope their men can show off once again. Still, it’s hard to see them cause an upset and we’ve seen many rate going for an Away win on Friday evening just a wild longshot.

We will thus stick with Marseille to secure the points despite a narrow contest in the making and we feel a Home win at 11/20 with bet365 comes off as a banker bet, with an obvious difference in depth in quality and the ambition.
