Manchester United have endured a stuttering start to the new campaign, their first full one under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. After racing out of the blocks with a 4-0 win over Chelsea on the opening weekend, the Red Devils have since slipped to defeats against Crystal Palace and West Ham United and been held to draws by Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton, slipping down to eighth in the Premier League table.

A win in the Europa League over Astana got the continental campaign off to a better start last week but confidence will have been knocked by that defeat to the Hammers at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon. With Solskjaer understanding the importance of silverware to the club, you can expect United to take this tournament seriously starting with a win over Rochdale here at odds of 1/10 with Unibet.

League One Rochdale have another glamorous cup tie to enjoy here following some excellent results in the FA Cup in recent years.
