Man United vs Aston Villa Match Preview
Man United host Aston Villa for their Matchday 14 Premier League clash on Sunday, just days after seeing their three-match unbeaten streak ended in a clash that held no competitive weight for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as his men top the Europa League Group L with ten points to their name.
Red Devils beat Partizan (3-0), Brighton (3-1) ahead of the break and were denied their third win in a row with a last-minute equalizer at Sheffield United after it, which should still have them in good shape as they sit a point behind 5th placed Wolves. They will need more to catch up with the top 4, though, and grabbing home points will be crucial.
Aston Villa, on the other hand, beat Newcastle (2-0) on Monday and sit four points clear of the relegation zone after 13 games played. They have confirmed their form in front of the home fans on more than one occasion but struggles to impress defensively when away have been evident.
Villans conceded five goals as they saw Man City (3-0) and Wolves (2-1) secure the points in just over a month and the trip to Old Trafford now seems just as much of a challenge. They have been scoring goals, though, and will surely hope to make this a great challenge through an in-form attacking line as well.
We do feel Man United should have what it takes to outgun the unpredictable rivals and we’ll now go for a Home win, which feels like buying money for old rope at 1/2 with BetVictor – catching the eye of many heavy hitters already.
We should be in for an exciting contest with goals, though, and we’re thus going for Over 2.5 Goals FT at 4/6 with VirginBet too. Both sides have seen such clashes on the regular and this feels like further evidence for such a bet now.
