Malmö made it four victories from their last five last time out as they won 2-1 at Falkenberg thanks to a Marcus Rosenberg brace. It meant the Skåne outfit went into the weekend as leaders following four wins, two draws and one defeat in their opening seven. They will have been disappointed to finish third in 2018 having won the two previous titles.

At the Swedbank Stadion, they have looked strong with two successive victories following an opening day draw with Häcken. They lost just once here last season as well as achieving some impressive results in Europe. Marcus Antonsson is especially enjoying home comforts with a goal in each of his three starts here this campaign.

Elfsborg drew 0-0 at home to Norrköping last time out and although it put to an end a two-game winning run it did stretch their unbeaten run to five. They have made a solid start to the campaign with three wins, three draws and just one defeat from their first seven. They will hope for an easier time than in 2018 when they finished 12th just four points above a relegation play-off.

Away from the Borås Arena, they have had a mixed set of results with one victory, one draw and one defeat in three. Last season their road form was poor with just four wins coming from those 15 encounters. Pawel Cibicki will be a player to watch after a brace in the last game on his travels and coming up against a Malmö side he spent four seasons at.

The home side are strong favourites for success and it is hard to see past them though finding a way to get some more value looks a better option. Two of the three visitors to this ground have netted and the open attacking style of Malmö means backing them to win and both teams to score makes sense.

Pawel Cibicki has four for the season and will be hungry to do well having played for four season for the Skåne outfit and backing him to net at any time here also appeals.
