Atletico Madrid have struggled to turn clashes their way since the International break and they travel to Palma de Mallorca for their Matchday 6 clash on Wednesday hoping to finally end the three-match winless streak across competitions, which saw them drop the top spot in La Liga and now sitting a point behind Athletic Bilbao.

Atleti have seen a 2-0 loss at Real Sociedad and seemingly struggled to bounce back, sharing the spoils in a thriller 2-2 draw against Juventus and finally looking better at the back in a goalless draw against Celta Vigo on Saturday. However, they’ll need more in the final third and Diego Simeone has to look for a cure for their mini goalscoring drought in Spain.

Mallorca will, on the other hand, look to capitalize on the rivals’ troubles and shock them in front of the home fans. However, they’ve hardly had many confidence boosters and the two goals scored in a 4-2 loss at Getafe over the weekend don’t really feel like much either – despite ending their streak of four games without a goal.

Indeed, ‎Los Bermellones earned four points in five outings this term and now sit just outside the relegation zone, which will have them just as desperate to shut down the tough rivals here. Vicente Moreno will hope Ante Budimir finally found his form up front and can use this boost, but we don’t really feel his men have what it takes.
