Mali vs Mauritania Match Preview
Mali have struggled to pick it up through 2019 friendlies and we’ve seen them suffer losses to Senegal (2-1 in March), Algeria (3-2 last week), and only held Cameroon to a 1-1 draw along the way as Youssouf Kone opened the scoresheet but their defensive woes proved costly once again.
Eagles have thus conceded a total of six goals along the way and Mohamed Magassouba will have to find a cure for such woes if they’re to make an impact in Egypt, where a test against Mauritania seems like a perfect test to their abilities which could as well set the pace for their campaign.
Mauritania have struggled for consistency just as much and now come into the match with a 3-1 loss to Benin behind them, failing to build on a 3-1 win over Madagascar seen earlier in the month and now coming into the match looking for a pick-me-up early on as well.
Lions of Chinguetti have conceded at least a goal in all of their last four outings and we’ve seen them all over the place on some of those occasions, which does feel worrying for the fans but still promises an exciting game of football with goals at New Suez Stadium.
We will now stick our necks out for the sides to share the spoils on Monday evening and we’ll go for a Draw at 5/2 with Helabet, which does seem like more than just a lively longshot as both sides struggle to turn clashes their way primarily for the goals conceded.
We thus also hope to see the goals now as well and we’ll back a Yes on Both teams to score at Evens with Netbet. We have seen both sides regularly enjoying such clashes over the past couple of months and we now simply hope for more of the same on Monday evening.
