Macedonia vs Poland Match Preview
Macedonia host Poland for their Matchday 3 Group G clash hoping to challenge the pace-setters as they sit two points behind them, after beating Latvia in a 3-1 thriller in front of the home fans and holding Slovenia to a 1-1 draw on the road – where the rivals opened the scoresheet but Enis Bardhi found the second-half equalizer.
Red Lynxes have proven themselves a very tough nut to crack on many occasions here and now boast a six-match winning streak in Skopje, capitalizing on a more lenient schedule as they made their way to Nations League C in a group shared wit Armenia, Gibraltar, and Liechtenstein.
Poland should prove more of a challenge, though, and the visitors come into the match in great shape after bagging six points in their first two outings. They’ve narrowly turned the clash in Austria their way with a single goal from Piatek and built on it with a home win over Latvia, where Lewandowski and Glik found the net.
Orly now have an exciting attacking line led by Lewandowski, Piatek, and Milik and they’ll surely be very motivated to show off their fine form at Telekom Arena. They come as favourites to snatch the points and we do see them making it happen on Friday evening.
We will thus stick with them to bag a win priced at 19/20 with William Hill, hoping to see them build on the gap behind them still very early in the Qualifiers and further building on their team spirits ahead of the home clash against unpredictable Israel.
We do feel they’ll have to impress up front in order to do so, though, and we do see Macedonia getting on the scoresheet too! We’ll thus also back a Yes on Both teams to score, which comes at Evens with Paddy Power and looks a great approach to the fixture by itself.
