Luton vs Hull Match Preview
Luton saw their two-game winning run come to an end last weekend as they suffered a 3-2 loss at QPR despite a goal each from Harry Cornick and James Collins. It leaves them on seven points and 16th in the table while the expected goals data has them on the same points but three places lower.
At Kenilworth Road, the Hatters have been a mixed bag winning one (against Huddersfield), drawing one (with Middlesbrough) and losing one (to West Brom). These three matches have produced a total of 12 goals with six for Town and six for their opponents.
Hull drew 2-2 at home to Wigan last time out to make it back-to-back draws and stretch their winless run to five league matches. It was their third successive match and the sixth in their last seven that has seen both teams net.
Away from the KCOM Stadium, the Tigers are without a league victory in six and have won just one of the previous 12. Each of their last five on the road have seen both teams score with the last two ending in the same 1-1 scoreline.
It is hard to argue with the prices on offer here which make the home side the favourites but suggest that there would be little to choose between the pair on a neutral surface. I could not be trusting Luton at such short odds but poor away form from the visitors does not inspire siding with them. Both teams have goalscoring options and as such this could be a game with goals. Over 2.5 looks short enough but over 1.5 second-half goals still looks value as does a small interest on over 2.5 goals after the interval.
