Luton vs Huddersfield Match Preview
Luton picked up their first victory of the season with a 3-1 road success at Barnsley last weekend to pick up an important three points. They continued that good form in midweek where they defeated Cardiff 3-0 in the League Cup.
At Kenilworth Road, the Hatters are still looking for their first success this season having lost to West Brom and drawn with Middlesbrough. Each of their last six competitive fixtures at this ground have seen both teams net.
Huddersfield continued their recent struggles going down to a third successive league defeat last weekend losing 2-0 at home to Reading. Mark Hudson remains in caretaker charge but Lee Bowyer of Charlton was being heavily linked with the job at the time of writing.
Away from the John Smith’s Stadium, the Terriers picked up their only point of the season drawing at QPR (1-1) while going down 2-1 at Cardiff. It continues a run of having netted at least once in each of their last five on the road which includes 3 Premier League fixtures.
It is hard to argue with the prices on offer with a Luton home victory but the short odds on a new Huddersfield manager makes this difficult to predict in advance. So it is better to look at the player markets and a couple of anytime scorer bets. For the hosts, Harry Cornick seems to be higher than he should because of the presence of James Collins but two goals this season already suggests his odds should be taken. For the visitors, it is hard to find much to be thankful about this season but Karlan Grant and Alex Pritchard have impressed and the latter looks due a goal.
