Los Angeles FC vs Atlanta United Predictions

Los Angeles FC are looking for silverware in only their second season as a Major League Soccer franchise. In their first campaign the Black and Gold enjoyed plenty of progress and success and managed a third place finish in the Western Conference before falling in the knock-out round of the play-offs. This time around though, they have been even better and sit top of the tree in their conference at this moment in time.

Having not lost in their nine Major League Soccer home fixtures so far this season, Bob Bradley and his side have really turned the Banc of California Stadium into something of a fortress so far this season and they will be looking forward to returning to home soil after losing away from home against cross-town rivals LA Galaxy in their last outing. You can back the hosts to pick up all three points here at 12/25 with Unibet.

Atlanta United are the franchise that Los Angeles FC will be looking to emulate in their first few seasons as a Major League franchise. In their first campaign back in 2017, the Five Stripes managed a third-placed finish in their conference before losing in the knock-out round of the play-offs. Last year however, they became MLS Cup champions at only the second time of asking, a feat that LAFC will hope to emulate this term.

In terms of holding onto the trophy, it’s still very much a possibility for the team currently managed by former Ajax man Frank de Boer. Atlanta find themselves in second place in their conference at the moment having remained unbeaten in their last 11 home games in all competitions. As with many MLS outfits, it’s on the road where they have struggled, which goes some way to explaining why they are out at 5/1 with Ladbrokes to win here.

We’re backing goals here because put simply these two sides are among the best in front of goal in the whole of Major League Soccer. LAFC have the best attacking record in the division with an incredible 55 goals racked up so far but it’s worth noting that Atlanta United haven’t failed to score in any of their last 13 competitive outings. The hosts should have enough to win but we’re backing the result and both teams to score market at 8/5 with Coral.
