Liverpool vs Sevilla Match Preview
Just days after meeting Borussia Dortmund for their first US outing on Saturday, Liverpool travel to Fenway Park as they meet Sevilla in hope they can build on fitness and the consistency in the final third they’ve shown with a rotated line-up still early in the pre-season.
Reds could still be without their attacking trident but we have seen them impress without them, as 19-year-old Rhian Brewster led the attacking line to nine goals in wins over Tranmere Rovers (0-6) in Birkenhead and Bradford (1-3) in West Yorkshire. They will now be in for much greater challenges but we feel Jurgen Klopp’s men will be just as motivated.
Sevilla have, on the other hand, kicked off their campaign just as confident and we’ve seen them beat Simba (4-5) and Reading (2-1) ahead of their trip to the United States, building on the performances with a 1-3 win over Dallas on Thursday – where Luuk De Jong, Joan Jordan, and Nolito all found the net.
Sevillistas have thus kept up their rock-solid goalscoring records of recent and they’ll surely want to do so against the Champions League winners too. Julen Lopetegui has a lot of work to do and we feel this will be a solid challenge and a very exciting occasion between the sides.
We will still stick our necks out for a Draw here, hoping for both sides motivated moving forward but satisfied with shared spoils at the end of the day. We expect Sevilla holding nothing back and this could prove a lively longshot at this point, despite Liverpool’s role of favourites.
As said, we should still be in for goals and going for them with a Yes on Both teams to score seems like a solid approach to the fixture just as well. We’ve seen both sides scoring and conceding on the regular and this feels like further evidence for such a bet.
