Liverpool vs Bournemouth Match Preview
Liverpool have seen a troubled streak continue in an FA Cup exit in the hands of Chelsea (2-0) on Tuesday and while the competition was obviously not of highest priority to Jurgen Klopp and his men, it hurts and they will need to bounce quickly. They host Bournemouth for their Matchday 29 clash on Saturday and it feels like a good chance to make it happen ahead of their Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.
Reds have thus suffered three losses in four games across competitions and the 3-2 win over struggling West Ham hardly feels like a great boost to their confidence. Still, we have seen improvements on Tuesday already and a return to Anfield will be important as they look to keep hold of an 11-match winning streak.
Bournemouth have, on the other hand, held Chelsea to a 2-2 draw last time out and were only denied points by Marcos Alonso’s late equalizer at Vitality Stadium. They proved themselves a tough nut to crack in front of the home fans once again but we’ve hardly seen the same on the road lately.
Cherries suffered five consecutive losses since late December and failed to find the net on four of those occasions too, seeing West Ham (4-0), Norwich (1-0), Sheffield United (2-1), and Burnley (3-0) all secure the points in 2020. They will need more to capitalize on Liverpool’s struggles and we don’t really see them up to the task.
We will thus back Liverpool to bag the important points and pick it up with an important week ahead, going for a Home win to Nil at 11/10 with BetVictor in hope we’ll finally see better defending against troubled Cherries on the road.
Bournemouth have struggled to keep it together early in the games and this has been rated a major issue for Eddie Howe’s men on the road, which spells trouble once again. With that in mind, we’re going for the 1st Half to be the Highest Scoring Half at 2/1 with bet365.
