Liverpool welcome Arsenal in the big game this weekend in the Premier League with both sides looking to keep their winning records intact. The Gunners have made some impressive signings ahead of the new season, their impacts already being felt in opening wins over Newcastle and Burnley. Liverpool themselves have looked in decent form over their first two games, although Jurgen Klopp will expect an improvement against Emery’s exciting team.

Liverpool vs Arsenal Match Preview
This season’s only two remaining 100% records in the Premier League are put on the line at Anfield on Saturday – and we are backing them both to be shattered by a stalemate.
Neither team has made what can be described as a spectacular start even though they have won two out of two, albeit Liverpool scored four goals without reply in the first half at home to Norwich. They ‘lost’ the second period 1-0 so it was not a complete 90-minute demolition.
The Reds have lost goalkeeper Alisson to a calf injury and his stand-in Adrian made a big error in last weekend’s 2-1 win at Southampton, which was actually a better result than it looks on paper because Liverpool were only just home from winning the UEFA Super Cup.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have won by one-goal margins away to Newcastle and at home to Burnley, but the good news for them is that their new signings Dani Ceballos and Nicolas Pepe are starting to settle in and show what they are capable of.
Ceballos in particular shone against the Clarets last weekend, grabbing his first assist on loan from Real Madrid, and there is no question this looks a much more functional Gunners side than the one that lost 5-1 at this venue between Christmas and New Year last season.
It may be only temporary as Liverpool will probably improve as the season progresses, but for the moment the gap between these teams appears to have closed and as this looks a good time for Arsenal to visit Anfield, they may be capable of returning home with a point.
