Linas Montlhery vs PSG Match Preview
PSG ended 2019 on a high note and they travel to Bondoufle for their Coupe de France clash at 6th tier rivals Linas Montlhery hoping to do the same early in the new year, looking to build on a rather convincing six-match winning streak across competitions – inspired by an in-form attacking line.
Parisians bagged 17 goals in their last four outings as they topped the Champions League Group A with a 5-0 win over Galatasaray, outclassed Le Mans (1-4) in League Cup, and bagged six points in Ligue 1 clashes against St Etienne (0-4) and Amiens (4-1). They’ve seen goals coming from all directions and will surely be a great threat moving forward now as well.
Linas Montlhery will, on the other hand, have to look for an upset and nothing short of a Coupe de France miracle, having made their way to the Round of 32 over National 3 rivals La Fleche RC (2-3) and Evreux (3-1). The Cup certainly serves as a ground to plot such attempts but this could as well be the game of the season for the crowd at Robert Bobin Stadium.
The hosts do enjoy a great moment as they top the league table but they have seen trouble as well. Stephane Cabrelli struggled to set up a solid defensive line and they’ve conceded a rather high total of seven goals in the last five outings, turning just one of those games their way and seeing three draws along the way.
Coping with French dominants will certainly be an even tougher task and we don’t see them up to the challenge. We rather hope to see a one-sided contest on Sunday evening and we’ll now back PSG to win with a -4 Handicap, which comes off as the best approach to the fixture at 5/6 with bet365.
We have seen Parisians scoring more goals in the second half, though, and while we don’t really see Linas Montlhery as a serious threat, we do feel we’re in for another such occasion. We’ll thus go for the 2nd half to be the Highest scoring half and back the claim at 5/6 with bet365 as well.
