Lille vs Angers Match Preview
Lille have beaten Bordeaux (1-0) with a single goal from Loic Remy and all but secured the 2nd spot with a six-point gap to the 3rd place Lyon and 14 goals better goal difference, as they host Angers for their Matchday 37 clash on Saturday looking for final celebrations with the home crowd.
LOSC have been somewhat unpredictable but still retained a seven-match unbeaten streak with four wins and three draws, which should have them in great spirits once again. They’ve been great in the final third when needed and we’ve seen them net 11 goals in last three outings at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, as Christophe Galtier’s men beat PSG (5-1), Nimes (5-0), and Bordeaux (1-0) most recently.
Angers have proven themselves a very tough nut to break on many occasions already and they surely travel to Villeneuve d’Ascq wanting to do the same, despite no high stakes involved. They’ve seen a narrow loss to PSG (1-2) interrupt their unbeaten streak once again and bouncing back to it will be important.
Les Scoistes have been scoring goals on the regular and last failed to find the net over two months ago, when Amiens held them to a goalless draw at home ground. They’ve beaten Bordeaux (0-1) on their last trip and now have a lot to build on as well.
However, we don’t see them doing so and we’ll now rather stick with Lille to secure the points, where going for their first win over Angers ever comes off as more of a banker bet at 1/2 with Paddy Power.
We have seen Lille conceding on the regular too and with that in mind, we do see Angers making it on the scoresheet once again. We’ll thus also back a Yes on Both teams to score, which comes at 10/11 with bet365 and would be the sixth such occasion in eight outings for Angers.
