Leyton Orient vs Cheltenham Match Preview
Leyton Orient have enjoyed their pre-season and ended it in a six-goal thriller against Bishop’s Stortford (3-3) last week, which only ended a three-match winning streak – where they beat AFC Hornchurch (0-1), AFC Rushden & Diamonds (0-1), and Dartford (0-2).
The O’s now open the new campaign as they host Cheltenham on Saturday afternoon and they’ll surely want to build on such performances. Ross Embleton’s men have seen some unconventional clashes along the way but will still take confidence from it, which promises them in a great mood once again.
Cheltenham have seen quite a contrasting run and struggled to keep it together at the back, where they conceded ten goals in their last three outings. They’ve been beaten by Taunton Town (7-0), Leicester City (1-2), and only held Shrewsbury Town to a 2-2 draw to end the unwanted streak.
Robins have struggled for positive results late last term and the same continued more recently, where they earned just one win in 11 outings since early April. This will surely be just as worrying for Michael Duff with the new campaign upon us. They will hope to put it behind them but we don’t feel they can at the Breyer Group Stadium.
We will thus back Leyton Orient to secure all three points and we’ll go for a Home win at 11/10 with Coral, which seems like great value seeing Cheltenham’s woes at the back and struggles to turn clashes their way through the pre-season.
We hope to see a narrow occasion with few goals, though, as Leyton Orient base their success on a tough defensive setup here. We’ll thus also go for a low-scoring contest with Under 2.5 Goals FT, which comes at 4/5 with bet365.
