Leganes vs Real Madrid Match Preview
Real Madrid travel to Leganes for the return match of their Copa del Rey clash on the back of a 3-0 win over the rivals, where Sergio Ramos, Lucas Vazquez, and Vinicius Junior all found the net and made it a convincing display at Santiago Bernabeu.
Los Blancos now have Quarter-finals under their noses and they’ll want to put it out of reach in Leganes, building on a narrow 1-2 win at Real Betis earned over the weekend. They have struggled for consistency on the road, though, and this could be more worrying as Santiago Solari’s men look for their eighth win in nine head-to-head clashes.
Leganes have beaten Huesca (1-0) with a single goal from Youssef En-Nesyri but we have seen them prove themselves as a tough side to outclass at Estadio Municipal de Butarque, seeing just one loss (0-1 to Villarreal in September) in ten home outings across competitions.
Lega will now want to build on such a streak and put on a solid challenge despite seeing their chances to overturn the contest very slim after the trip to Madrid. We have seen them scoring goals on the regular and Real could have troubles on the road once again – desperate for stability early in 2019.
We’ll now stick our necks out for Leganes to put on a tough challenge and hold off the rivals in front of the home fans, going for a Draw at 12/5 with Coral. They have proven themselves a tough side here and we now hope for more of the same from Mauricio Pellegrino’s men.
We do believe they’ll have to score goals to do so, though, and we’ll thus also back a Yes on Both teams to score at 4/5 with Betfred. We’ve seen Real regularly scoring and conceding goals on the road and this feels like further evidence for such a bet.
