Leeds vs Reading Match Preview
Leeds were back to their best last weekend and a 1-0 scoreline did no justice to how much they dominated Bristol City. The Yorkshire outfit are second in the Championship table four points behind leaders West Brom and three ahead of Fulham with a superior goal-difference.
At Elland Road, United are a mixed bag at the moment with two victories, a draw and two defeats in their last five. None of their last two and just one of their last four in front of their own fans has seen both teams find the back of the net.
Reading put their seven-game winless run behind them last Saturday as they travelled to Hillsborough and eased past Sheffield Wednesday 3-0. The Berkshire outfit sit in 15th place and after a tough start to the season being 11 points above the play-offs is a great achievement.
Away from the Madejski Stadium, the Royals are unbeaten in their last three which includes the victory over Wednesday and draws at Cardiff and Forest. Yakou Meite has two in his last two on the road while Sam Baldock has two in three.
Our selection last week that Bristol City could cover a 1.25 handicap proved to be a little bit lucky as Leeds dominated but once again struggled to convert this dominance into goals. Reading might be a tougher proposition still as Mark Bowen has the Royals well-drilled and confidence will be high after a 3-0 victory at Sheffield Wednesday. The price on them with a 1.5 goal start looks huge as United would have to win by two or more goals (something they have achieved in only two of their last 12) for your bet to lose.
Yakou Meite has two goals in his last two appearances on the road and at these prices looks worth a small interest to net at Elland Road.
