Leeds vs Derby Match Preview
Leeds bounced back to winning ways with a 1-0 road success at Barnsley which the expected goals data feels should have come by a lot more. The result moved the Yorkshire outfit back to the top of the table on 16 points while expected goals data feels they have deserved to win all seven played.
At Elland Road, the Whites have one just one of three drawing with Nottingham Forest and going down to defeat to Swansea. The three fixtures here have produced four goals in total with all four of these coming after the 55th minute.
Derby drew 1-1 with Cardiff last weekend to stretch their winless league run to six (though three of these have been drawn). They sit 19th in the table and while expected goals data has them in 12th it ranks them third bottom in defence.
Away from Pride Park, the Rams have had a mixed set of results winning one (at Huddersfield), drawing one (at Stoke) and losing one (at Brentford). These matches have involved goals with a total of ten produced with County bagging four of these (two each for Tom Lawrence and Martyn Waghorn).
It is hard to see beyond a home victory though the prices do not represent great value. Given all the goals at Elland Road this season have come after the break taking the second-half to be the highest scoring 45 minutes offers the most appeal. In addition, take an interest on the draw half-time and Leeds full-time as the visitors can make things difficult but the hosts class and depth off the bench can make a difference.
