Austria picked it up and secured the top 2 spot in Group G as they bagged five wins and a draw in six outings since June, travelling to Latvia just days after hosting North Macedonia with hope they can end the campaign in good spirits. They’ve been very tough to score against and Franco Foda will now want to show it in Riga as well.

Indeed, Das Team conceded just two goals along the way and we’ve seen them beat Slovenia (1-0), North Macedonia (1-4), Latvia (6-0), Israel (3-1), and Slovenia (0-1) on the road – only seeing the streak interrupted with a goalless draw in Poland. They’ve been scoring away goals on the regular too and have ground to build on.

Latvia can hardly boast such team spirits and we’ve seen them struggling to make an impact in Group G, with eight consecutive losses behind them. They found the net in a 3-1 loss in Israel now behind them but this was also only their second goal scored in the EURO 2020 Qualifiers campaign, which will be just as worrying.

11 Vilki have seen very comfortable losses to Israel (0-3), Slovenia (0-5), North Macedonia (0-2), and Poland (0-3) at this ground already, which has few believing in an upset now either. Slavisa Stojanovic wasn’t able to find a cure for their goalscoring woes and we don’t see them finding the net now either.

Still, with hope we’re in for a very one-sided contest, we’re backing Austria to bag an exciting win as we go for an Away win & Over 2.5 Goals FT at 4/7 with Paddy Power – which looks like a banker bet at this point.
