LA Galaxy vs New England Revolution Match Preview
LA Galaxy defended well and converted their few chances as they beat Sporting KC (0-2) with goals from Fabio Alvarez and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, connecting their second win in a row and now hosting New England Revolution in hope they can build on it in front of the home crowd.
Galaxy have thus rediscovered their consistency and will now surely be very motivated to impress once again, building on a winning streak after putting behind them four consecutive losses seen from early to mid-May. They’ve been solid defensively and Guillermo Barros Schelotto has ground to build on.
New England have, on the other hand, shared spoils with Montreal Impact (0-0) and DC United (1-1) in their last two outings but this still feels worrying seeing it extended a streak where they bagged just one win in eight games – with four losses and two more draws also on the records.
Revs struggled to score goals on the road regularly and failed to do so on two trips, where Chicago Fire bagged a 5-0 win ahead of the goalless draw at Montreal. We do feel they’ll now want more but getting it at surely reinvigorated LA Galaxy will be no walk in the park.
We will back LA Galaxy to capitalize on such goalscoring woes on the rivals’ end and turn a rather narrow clash their way, as going for a Home win at 8/15 with William Hill feels like a banker bet here.
We don’t feel they’ll be able to bag many either, though, and with that in mind – we’re now also backing a low-scoring contest and Under 2.5 Goals FT at 6/4 with bet365. We’ve seen such clashes in all of Galaxy’s last four as well as the Revs’ respective last two outings, which adds to such a belief.
