Krasnodar vs Valencia Match Preview
After bagging a narrow win over the rivals at Mestalla with two early goals from Rodrigo, Valencia travel to Krasnodar for the return match of their Europa League clash hoping to capitalize on the success and make their way to the Quarter-finals.
Los Che have kept up their winning streak since and connected the fourth in a row as they beat Girona (2-3) with a last-minute winner from Ferran Torres, proving their fine form in the final third once again – after doing the same in clashes against Real Betis (1-0) and Athletic Bilbao (2-0) beforehand.
They failed to keep it together at the back lately, though, and Marcelino could be more worried for that as a second-half goal from Viktor Claesson very much keeps the Russian rivals in the contest. However, Krasnodar have struggled to turn matches their way and surely have a lot more on their mind ahead of the clash at Stadion FK Krasnodar.
Byki have seen Orenburg snatch a 2-2 draw at this ground on Monday as they extended a streak of nine competitive outings without a win across competitions, also denied by Spartak Moscow (1-1 draw) and Rostov (1-0 loss in the Cup) since late February. They will now need more to shut down Valencia and we don’t feel they have what it takes at this point.
We will thus stick our necks out for Valencia to punch their ticket to the Quarter-finals with a win in Krasnodar, going for it at 11/8 with bet365 and hoping to see them motivated moving forward in another exciting contest looming.
Indeed, a narrow loss without scoring sends Los Che out of the competition and with that in mind, we feel we’ll see them put on an attacking display. We’ll thus also stick with a high-scoring contest with Over 2.5 Goals FT, which comes at Evens with William Hill and has caught the eye of many.
