Juventus vs Chievo Match Preview
Juventus have bagged the silverware on their Super Cup trip to Jeddah as a single goal from Cristiano Ronaldo proved enough to beat ten-man AC Milan on Wednesday, now returning to Serie A as they host rock-bottomed Chievo for their Matchday 20 clash in search of their fourth consecutive win.
Bianconeri have beaten Sampdoria (2-1) in late December and Bologna (0-2 in Coppa Italia) in early January, as Max Allegri can only search for more of the same in an attempt to retain such consistency ahead of a somewhat tougher schedule ahead of them.
Chievo have, on the other hand, proven themselves as a tougher side to beat most recently and now travel to Turin on the back of their first league win of the campaign, where they beat Frosinone (1-0) with a single goal from Emanuele Giaccherini. They’ve suffered just one loss in last eight league outings and this should have them motivated to build on it.
Gialloblu are now in for a possibly the toughest challenge yet, though, and it will be very tough to do so. They’ve struggled to score goals on the road and this will be even more worrying – as Domenico Di Carlo saw his men find the net just once in the last four trips since late November.
We will now back Juventus to secure the points and we feel going for a confident display at Allianz Stadium comes as a banker bet, as we back the home side to win to Nil at 4/7 with BetVictor in hope we’re in for a narrow occasion.
Nonetheless, Chievo have proven themselves as a tough nut to crack on many occasions and they’ll be positive in search of such a challenge on the day as well. We’ll thus also stick our necks out for a low-scoring match with Under 2.5 Goals FT at 8/5 with Unibet.
