Jamaica vs Curacao Match Preview
Jamaica have bagged four points in their first two Group C outings and they meet Curacao on the final day of the group stage looking to punch their ticket to the knockout stages, with 3rd placed rivals looking to cause an upset and snatch it from under their noses.
Reggae Boyz have beaten United States (0-1) ahead of the tournament and build on the success with solid displays early on, beating Honduras (3-2) in a very exciting contest and building on it with a point earned in a goalless draw against El Salvador. They will now want more of the same and we hope to see them very motivated in Los Angeles.
Curacao have, on the other hand, seen a narrow 0-1 loss on Matchday 1 and turned a similarly narrow clash their way against Honduras (0-1), as Leandro Bacuna bagged the only goal late in the first half and Remko Bicentini’s men kept hold of the lead at BBVA Stadium.
They’ve proven themselves a very tough nut to crack and have a lot to be happy, especially defensively as they conceded just one goal at the Gold Cup so far. Beating Jamaica should prove more of a task, though, and we don’t feel they’re up to it at this point.
We’ll thus stick with Jamaica to build on their defensive display against El Salvador and we’ll go for them to bag a narrow win to Nil, which comes at 6/4 with bet365 and looks like more than just a lively longshot – especially for those seeing them through to the knockout stages.
We’ve seen more than a single goal just once in Group C so far and we thus expect another very narrow occasions with high stakes involved, which also has us going for Under 2.5 Goals FT once again – coming off as a banker bet at 4/6 with Ladbrokes.
