Italy vs Armenia Match Preview
Italy have been in great shape through their EURO 2020 Qualifiers campaign and they host Armenia looking to end it in good spirits too, coming into the match just days after their trip to Bosnia-Herzegovina and looking to build on a nine-match winning streak going back as far as November 2018.
Azzurri have been scoring numbers of goals in front of the home fans on the regular and we’ve seen them bag 12 in four Qualifiers outings so far, which will have the crowd at Renzo Barbera Stadium hopeful as well. With no high stakes involved, Roberto Mancini’s men will still be motivated to impress – that’s for sure.
Armenia have seen their chances shrinking with Henrikh Mkhitaryan suffering an unfortunate injury and just one point earned in two games now behind them. They’ve been held off by Liechtenstein (1-1) and suffered a thrashing 3-0 loss in Finland, which sees them sitting five points behind the rivals ahead of their Friday’s clash against Greece.
Havaqakan have struggled defensively on the road and this has proven costly on more than one occasion, with just a win in Greece (2-3) back in June bagged in five trips across competitions. The task now will be the toughest yet and it’s really hard to see them coming away with a positive result.
We will thus back Italy to secure the points with confidence and we’ll go for a Home win to Nil, which comes at 10/11 with bet365 and has caught the eye of many as Armenia struggled to impress in the final third lately.
Still, we hope not to see a very one-sided contest on the day and with that in mind, we’re now also going for Under 3.5 Goals FT at 3/4 with VirginBet. We rarely see Italy scoring that many goals lately and we hope for another such occasion on the day.
