Israel vs Poland Match Preview
Poland top the Group G table and they secured their ticket to the final EURO 2020 tournament as they travel to Israel for their Matchday 9 clash, having beaten Latvia (0-3) and North Macedonia (2-0) in two dominant defensive displays crowned with goals from Robert Lewandowski (x3), Przemyslaw Frankowski, and Arkadiusz Milik.
Orly based their success on a tough defensive approach through most part of the campaign and we’ve seen them keep seven clean sheets in eight outings so far, only seeing Slovenia (2-0) interrupt the streak. Still, Jerzy Brzeczek’s men haven’t felt as dominant on the road and with little to play for, we could be in for another hiccup here.
Israel all but lost their chances of a top 2 place but come into the match with a longshot hope, where they sit five points behind 2nd placed Austria. They beat Latvia (3-1) and ended a four-match winless streak, which saw their woes on the road emphasized and included a 4-0 loss they suffered in Warsaw.
Blue and Whites have been tougher to beat at this ground and we’ve seen them beat Austria (4-2) in a six-goal thriller, while holding off Slovenia (1-1) and North Macedonia (1-1) along the way as well. They will now hope for a similar upset and we expect them very motivated to impress at Teddi Malcha Stadium.
We will thus stick our necks out for a Draw here, which comes at 12/5 with William Hill and hardly feels like a longshot as it would certainly not have Poland leaving distraught – having already made their way to the final tournament.
Israel will have to score goals to do so, though, and we thus hope to see an exciting contest. We’ll thus go for a Yes on Both teams to score, which comes at 4/5 with bet365 and has already caught the eye of many as a good approach to the fixture.
