Ipswich vs Swansea Match Preview
Ipswich were poor last time out as they went down 4-0 away at Preston finding themselves a goal down after just six minutes and never looking in the fixture. Town are bottom of the table and are four points away from Bolton in 23rd. Paul Lambert will be looking to work out what his side need going into next season in League One.
At Portman Road, the Tractor Boys are winless in seven though four of these fixtures have finished all-square. Just one of the last eight played here have gone over 2.5 goals with four of the previous six ending 1-1. In each of their last six at their own place the Suffolk side have conceded in the first half.
Swansea were involved in a seven-goal thriller on Easter Friday as they twice fought back from behind to defeat strugglers Rotherham 4-3. The result moves them into 11th and continues their strong end to the season. After this they have three matches remaining with them hosting Hull and Derby before ending the season at Blackburn.
Away from the Liberty Stadium, the Swans have struggled losing each of their last seven and going winless in eight. They have failed to find the back of the net in three of their four on the road and have a combined one goal from their last seven. They have gone 12 matches without keeping a clean sheet on the road.
The visitors will never get a better chance to put behind them their awful road record and they look worth doing so here. The home side are just poor full stop and Swansea could be one of the promotion contenders next season while you would not bet on the Suffolk outfit to get out of League One and as such the visitors need to be backed.
Ollie McBurnie has scored 19 times this season and on six occasions he has netted a brace and against a kind Town defence he could have fun here. Backing him to score anytime is an option but we like the time to score him 2 or more goals.
