It looks a matter of when and not if Ipswich will be relegated as they sit bottom of the league table with just 24 points which has them 13 beneath safety. They looked doomed as they have just three wins this season but they would need to win at least five (and likely more) of their last eight.

At Portman Road, Paul Lambert has at least made them difficult to beat with just two defeats from their last six in front of their own fans. Each of their last four at their own place have seen both teams find the back of the net with three of them ending in the same 1-1 scoreline.

Hull are struggling of late having taken just one point from their last three fixtures which has seen them slide down into 12th. Their hopes of making the play-offs are still alive though as they are just six points behind Aston Villa who are sixth.

Away from the KC Stadium, the Tigers have struggled of late having failed to win any of their last six with five of these ending in defeat. They are shipping like crazy on their travels having let in a combined 18 from their previous six on the road.

It is hard to feel comfortable siding with either team to win this game given the hosts are languishing at the bottom of the table while the visitors are a mess on the road at the moment. One thing that is clear though is that, for differing reasons, both sides need to win this fixture and this could lead to an entertaining match. The second-half, in particular, could open up and I think this looks the best way into the game by backing it to go over 1.5 goals and for it to have more goals than the opening 45 minutes.
