Inter Milan vs Lazio Match Preview
Inter host Lazio for their Coppa Italia for their Coppa Italia clash just days after seeing their seven-match unbeaten streak by Torino (1-0), where a single goal from Armando Izzo denied them a chance to catch up with Napoli at the 2nd. They will now be looking for a quick fix in front of the home fans and a ticket to the semi-finals but should in for a tough challenge.
Nerazzurri have earned nine wins and three draws in 12 home outings since mid-September and a goalless draw against Sassuolo still extended the unbeaten streak, despite hardly coming off as a great boost to their confidence.
Lazio will now want a similar upset but they’ve seen losses to Napoli (2-1) and Juventus (1-2) in their last two outings, struggling to cope with the schedule as a penalty-kick winner from Cristiano Ronaldo completed a comeback from Bianconeri on Sunday.
Biancocelesti’s struggles on the road could be even more worrying for Simone Inzaghi, as his men look for their only second win in seven trips across competitions – as they beat Bologna (0-2) but were denied such quests by Sassuolo (1-1), Apollon (2-0), Chievo (1-1), Atalanta (1-0), and Napoli most recently.
We feel Inter will now be able to capitalize on the rivals’ woes away from home and going for a Home win feels like a great approach to the fixture at 6/5 with BetVictor, seeing Nerazzurri base their success on fine displays here through most part of the campaign.
Lazio have struggled to score away goals on the regular and with that in mind, we’ll now also back Inter to keep a clean sheet at 21/10 with Coral. We’ve seen them do so three of their last four outings here and we now hope Luciano Spalletti’s men can do the same despite a strong challenge looming.
