Inter Milan vs Eintracht Frankfurt Match Preview
Inter Milan have finally ended a three-match winless streak across competitions over the weekend, as they beat SPAL (2-0) with second-half goals from Matteo Politano and Roberto Gagliardini. They now host Eintracht Frankfurt for their Europa League clash hoping to build on the success and make their way to the Quarter-finals.
Nerazzurri have been held to a goalless draw at Commerzbank-Arena in a clash which could have gone either way really, failing to convert a 22’ penalty kick and lucky not to have conceded on occasions. They now need more at Giuseppe Meazza and we expect them very motivated to give.
Eintracht Frankfurt do promise another very solid challenge in Italy after returning to the winning ways once again over the weekend, beating Fortuna Dusseldorf (0-3) and earning their fourth win in five outings as they also extended a lengthy 11-match unbeaten streak across competitions.
Die Adler have been more solid at the back lately and we now expect them in top shape once again, seeing just one loss in 13 trips since early October. We do feel we’re in for a more exciting contest between the sides this time around but we don’t see Inter outclassing the visitors.
We will thus stick our necks out for Eintracht Frankfurt to hold off the rivals to a Draw on the day as well, which comes at 12/5 with bet365 and now looks like the best approach to the fixture.
We do hope to see goals this time around and with that in mind, we’ll also back a Yes on Both teams to score at 13/20 with Paddy Power – with both sides regularly scoring (and conceding) goals and everything to play for in Milan.
