Hungary vs Croatia Match Preview
After holding the rivals to three draws in three head-to-head clashes since 2005, Hungary host Croatia for their EURO 2020 Qualifiers clash looking to show off their tough character once again in search of important home points on Sunday afternoon.
Magyars have fallen just short of a ticket to the Nations League B ticket but we’ve seen them prove their worth at home ground, beating Estonia (2-0) and Finland (2-0) in their last two outings. They now come into the match just days after their trip to Slovakia midway through the week and we expect Marco Rossi’s men very motivated.
Croatia have been more unpredictable since their World Cup success and we’ve seen them bag just two wins in six outings since September, beating Jordan (2-1) and Spain (3-2) but still dropping out of Nations League A with a 2-1 loss in England in November.
Blazers will now need to prove their worth and we’ll surely see them in a good mood after a home clash against Azerbaijan, which feels like a great opportunity for a pick-me-up. They’ve been conceding goals on the regular and this will be more of a worry for Zlatko Dalic, going on to promise an exciting contest in Budapest.
We will now stick our necks out for Hungary to hold off the unpredictable visitors and we’ll go for a Draw here, which comes at 5/2 with bet365 and feels like the best approach to the fixture at this point.
With that in mind, we expect goals and we’ll also back a Yes on Both teams to score at 10/11 with William Hill. We’ve seen Croatia both score and concede in nine of their last 11 outings across competitions and this feels like further evidence for another such trip on the day.
