Hull vs Sheffield United Match Preview
Hull made it back-to-back defeats and continued their road woes with a 3-2 defeat away to West Brom on Friday. They sit in tenth place and the gap between them and the play-offs is seven and while not mathematically impossible it would take a strange set of results to get them into the end of season top six. Their two remaining fixtures after this one sees them travel to Swansea and then on the last day they play host to Bristol City.
At the KC Stadium, the Tigers are flying winning nine and drawing three of their last 12 matches in the league. In each of the last 11 they have managed to net at least two goals per fixture and a combined total of 29. Jarrod Bowen has 12 goals in his last ten appearances here while Kamil Grosicki has two from his last two.
Sheffield United did their automatic promotion hopes a world of good with a 2-0 home victory over Nottingham Forest on Friday. It puts them in second place following a defeat for Leeds with both sides level on points but the Yorkshire outfit have a six better goal-difference. They have three remaining matches and after this are at home to Ipswich before ending away at Stoke.
Away from Bramall Lane, the Blades are unbeaten in the last seven Championship matches with three victories and four draws. Three of the last four the Yorkshire outfit have netted on the road have come in the first-half. They are proving difficult to net against on their travels conceding just once from their last five.
Motivation suggests that Sheffield United are the team who should come out on top here though Hull are strong at their own place and backing them in the draw no bet market appeals more. The pressure is off as they are all but out of their play-off race and players like Kamil Grosicki and Jarrod Bowen will be eager to showcase their talents ahead of the summer transfer window.
Both the players mentioned will be eager to impress watching scouts and either appeals to score here though at the bigger prices it is the Pole (Grosicki) who gets the nod.
