Huesca vs Atletico Madrid Match Preview

Atletico Madrid have seen a Copa del Rey thriller go the other way earlier this term, as Girona found a very late equalizer at (3-3) Estadio Wanda Metropolitano and knocked them out on away goals, now travelling to Huesca looking for a quick fix in their chase to catch up with Barcelona at the top.

Atleti haven’t suffered a loss since late October but we’ve seen them struggling to turn clashes their way lately, holding Sevilla to a 1-1 draw and narrowly beat Levante (1-0) in 2019 already. Diego Simeone will now be desperate for a pick-me-up and this does shape like a great chance to get it.

Huesca come into the match with a 1-0 loss at Leganes behind them and while they have shocked Real Betis (2-1) beforehand, it feels they’ll be in for a tough task doing so now. Still, Francisco’s men have been scoring goals more regularly and this does promise them in a better mood.

They have just 11 points to their name after 19 games played and coping with Atleti will be no easy task for the home side, despite just seeing their Cup woes at hand. Huesca have seen a thrashing 3-0 loss on their trip to Madrid this term and we don’t see them bagging any points now either.

We will thus go for an Away win and at 8/11 with BetVictor, we have seen it attract support from many in the know already. However, Atleti have all but lost their recognizable back-line stability lately and this could mean trouble in Huesca.
