Huddersfield Town vs Arsenal Match Preview
Arsenal’s away form has been poor since mid-December, but surely they cannot fail to beat a Huddersfield side who are heading relentlessly towards relegation from the Premier League.
In fairness to the Gunners, they have had to visit Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United within their last six away league games, yet have also lost to Southampton and West Ham and drawn at Brighton.
But the fact remains that you have to go back to January 2015 to find the last time Arsenal won away to one of the other ‘big six’ in the Premier League.
However, they could not hope for a more straightforward road trip than to face a Huddersfield side who have completely forgotten the art of scoring goals and appear not to have improved for their recent change of manager, Jan Siewert replacing David Wagner.
The Terriers are now a lost cause as far as avoiding relegation is concerned, 14 points from safety factoring in goal difference, and Siewert’s task must now be about planning for next season’s campaign in the Championship.
An Arsenal victory appears inevitable here, but even Manchester City scored ‘only’ three times on their recent trip to this ground and the chance to double our money for an away win and four or fewer goals to be scored in the match appeals greatly.
