Houston Dynamo vs Sporting KC Match Preview
Houston Dynamo host Sporting KC for their weekend clash looking for a return to the winning ways after a narrow 1-0 loss at Minnesota United, where an early opener from Romain Metanire proved enough for the rivals to bag all three points and extend their woes on the road.
Orange Crush have been much more convincing in front of the home fans and will now surely be looking to show it off once again, though, after bagging six wins and a draw in seven MLS outings so far. They’ve beaten DC United (2-1) last time out and still can catch up with the Western Conference pace-setters through games in hand.
We thus expect them very motivated to recuperate quickly and Sporting KC could be in for a great task, as they travel to BBVA Compass Stadium just days after hosting LA Galaxy midway through the week. They have ended a five-match winless streak with a 3-2 win over Seattle Sounders on Monday and will now hope for more good things this week.
However, Wizards have struggled to produce on the road and this will be more worrying, as Peter Vermes’ men come into the match with just one point earned in their last four trips across competitions – with a 5-0 thrashing seems at Monterrey in CONCACAF Champions League as well as MLS losses at Earthquakes (4-1) and DC United (1-0) more recently.
We will now back Houston Dynamo to capitalize on such woes on their end too and we’ll go for a Home win here, which comes at 88/100 with William Hill and looks great value at this point.
However, we don’t see it coming easy and we feel Sporting KC will get on the scoresheet in an exciting contest too, as we now go for a high-scoring contest where Over 2.5 Goals FT feels like banker material at 4/6 with Paddy Power.
