Hoffenheim have struggled with injuries and the woes in the final third without Andrej Kramaric and now even Ishak Belfodil were obvious. However, they’ve ended a four-match winless streak as they shocked Bayern in Munich (1-2) just ahead of the International break and they host Schalke hoping to build on it.

Sargis Adamyan broke his duck for Hoffenheim and bagged a brace at Allianz Arena and Die Kraichgauer would love him to take confidence from it. They’ve scored just one goal in four outings beforehand and rediscovering fine form in the final third will be essential if Alfred Schreuder’s men are to join the top 6 chase.

Schalke have been in better shape since mid-September and we’ve only seen a three-match winning streak ended as Koln (1-1) snatched a point at VELTINS-Arena, where Jonas Hector netted the last-gasp equalizer. They’ve been scoring and conceding goals on the regular along the way and we now expect them in a good mood.

Die Konigsblauen beat Paderborn (1-5), Mainz (2-1) and built on it with all three points at RB Leipzig (1-3), which would be the best of pick-me-ups. However, we have seen them struggling to retain a high level of performances and this will be more worrying, as the visitors look for their only second win in 12 trips to PreZero Arena.
