Hoffenheim vs Bayer Leverkusen Match Preview
Hoffenheim host Bayer Leverkusen for their Matchday 27 clash on Friday evening and looking to return to the winning ways after being held to a 1-1 draw at Stuttgart, desperate to catch up with the 6th placed rivals in an important contest for their top 6 chase where both sides still play a great role.
Die Kraichgauer have been tougher at home ground and regained consistency with wins over Hannover 96 (3-0) and Nurnberg (2-1) in two exciting clashes since mid-February. However, it feels outclassing Leverkusen should prove more of a task for Peter Bosz and his men.
Bayer Leverkusen have, on the other hand, seen a two-match winning streak ended ahead of the International break, where Werder Bremen (1-3) snatched all three points at BayArena. They dropped five points behind the top 4 and now have more realistic chances of a battle for the top 6.
Die Werkself have a lot to prove at PreZero Arena, though, struggling to keep it together at the back with just one clean sheet in five outings since mid-February. They have outgunned Hannover 96 (2-3) on their last trip and will now hope they can impress up front.
We do feel they have enough to snatch an important point as we now stick with a Draw at 29/10 with William Hill, hoping to see the sides come into the match very motivated to secure the points in a narrow contest in the making.
With hope we’re in for shared spoils in Sinsheim, we’ll now also go for Under 2.5 Goals FT at an eye-catching 9/4 with William Hill although we should be in for an exciting contest. We haven’t seen such a clash in head-to-head encounters since March 2017 but feel this could prove a tough deadlock to break.
