Helsingborg vs Malmo Match Preview
Helsingborg drew 1-1 at home to Falkenberg to make it back-to-back draws and extend their winless run to eight. Nine of their 11 this season have seen both teams score with four of their last seven ending in the same 1-1 scoreline. Six of their 11 have gone over 2.5 goals and ten of their 11 have gone over 1.5.
At Olympia, they are without a victory in four though three of these have finished all-square and they have lost just one of six. All six of their fixtures here have seen both teams find the back of the net with three of the last four ending 1-1. In each of the last four in front of their own fans they have conceded the opening goal,
Malmo stretched their unbeaten run to nine last time out with a 2-1 victory over GIF Sundsvall that was their eighth in the last ten. Going into the weekend they were six points clear at the top though have played a game more. The Skåne side have both the best attacking and best defensive (joint) record in Allsvenskan in 2019.
Away from the Swedbank Stadion, they are unbeaten in the last four with two victories and two ending all-square. Three of their five on the road this season in Allsvenskan have seen both teams find the back of the net. The last three Malmo goals on the road have come in the opening 25 minutes.
It is hard to see past the league leaders but this is an important game for Helsingborg as Malmo are their local rivals. It is the first time these sides have met since their relegation 2016 so they will be desperate to do well.
All six games at Olympia this season have seen both teams to score so this looks the sensible bet. Speaking of goals then we also like the look of Anders Christiansen as the Malmo player has a goal in each of his last three and goes off too big later.
