Hearts vs Inverness CT Match Preview
Hearts host Inverness CT for their FA Cup semi-finals clash on Saturday looking to put a somewhat underwhelming finish of the 1st Phase of Premiership behind them and make their way to the Final over the Championship rivals.
Indeed, Jam have seen three losses in their last four outings but still made the top 6 cut, six points clear of 7th placed St Johnstone. They’ve seen Hamilton Academical (1-0), Rangers (3-0), and Hibernian (1-2) snatch points and only beat Aberdeen (2-1) along the way – as they completed a comeback with goals from Sean Clare and Uche Ikpeazu.
Inverness CT, on the other hand, sit 3rd placed after 32 games played and have Promotion play-offs looming – where Cup success would surely be a much-needed confidence booster. They’ve beaten Ayr United (0-1) in an important contest last week as John Robertson’s men ended a two-match winless streak, giving them ground to build on at Hampden Park too.
Jags had no trouble playing on the road and this was their fourth away win in a row, also beating Dundee (1-2), Queen of the South (0-2), and Partick Thistle (1-2) since early March and now surely looking to build on such a streak in Glasgow.
However, we don’t see them capitalizing on Hearts’ struggling spell of form recently and we’ll now rather stick with the Jam to secure their ticket to the Final here, with a win currently priced at 4/9 with bet365 and looking like more of a banker bet.
We still feel we should be in for a thriller at Hampden Park and we’ll thus also go for goals on Saturday afternoon, as we back a Yes on Both teams to score as possibly the best approach to the fixture at Evens with William Hill.
