Getafe vs Sevilla Match Preview

Sevilla travel to Getafe for their Matchday 33 clash in great shape after connecting a three-match winning streak since early April and making the top 4 cut once again, now sitting just a point clear of 5th placed Azulones and desperate for an upset at Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

Sevillistas have beaten Alaves (2-0), Real Valladolid (0-2), and Real Betis (3-2) and saw goals coming from all directions under Joaquin Caparros, as they seem to be in a lot better place at this point. However, they have a lot to prove on a tough trip and we expect a very tough game on Sunday.

Getafe have struggled to impress lately, though, and bagged five points in their last four outings. They’ve seen Leganes snatch a 0-2 win at this ground and only bounced back with away draws at Espanyol (1-1) and Valladolid (2-2) as well as a narrow 1-0 win over Athletic Bilbao along the way.

Jose Bordalas and his men still have high hopes of a Champions League spot next term and we’ll surely see them very motivated on the day, as Azulones look for a rare double over Sevilla after snatching a 0-2 win at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan midway through September.

However, we feel Sevilla enjoy better team spirits at this point and we’ll now rather back them to take revenge here with an Away win, which comes at 27/20 with William Hill and looks great value seeing their recent performances.
