Georgia vs Switzerland Match Preview
Switzerland travel to Georgia for their EURO 2020 Qualifiers clash looking to kick-start their campaign with points at Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena, after securing the top spot in UEFA Nations League Group 2 top spot over Iceland and Belgium in some very exciting clashes through 2018.
Swiss Nati have been scoring many goals in front of the home fans and mainly made it for such performances, with Belgium trailing only for the goal difference in head-to-head clashes after a thriller 5-2 contest at Swissporarena – which was also the last outing for Vladimir Petkovic’s men.
They will now look to build on the success early on but Georgia have plans of their own, looking to show what they’re made of and build on the six-match unbeaten streak – where they made it to Group C with two wins over Kazakhstan (0-2 and 2-1), two over Latvia (1-0 and 0-3) as well as four points against Andorra (3-0 at home and 1-1 on the road).
Crusaders have been scoring goals on the regular and will now hope to do so against much stronger opposition as well. While we don’t see them putting a dent in Switzerland’s ambitions early on, we do feel they’ll be very motivated and make this an exciting contest as well.
We will still back Switzerland to snatch all three points and going for an Away win at 8/13 with William Hill feels like buying money for old rope, already seeing many big hitters lumping.
Still, we expect goals and we’ll also stick with a high-scoring contest at Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena, where Over 2.5 Goals FT looks great value at 6/5 with Paddy Power. We have seen both sides enjoying such clashes and we now hope for them to put on attacking displays once again.
