Genoa vs AC Milan Match Preview

AC Milan travel to Genoa for their Matchday 20 clash just days after seeing a narrow yet disappointing 1-0 Super Cup loss to Juventus, where a single goal from Cristiano Ronaldo untangled the contest in Jeddah. They now hope to bounce back quickly despite such troubles and return to their winning streak.

Rossoneri have beaten Sampdoria (0-2) in a thrilling Coppa Italia clash beforehand and build on the narrow 2-1 win over SPAL late in December, where Gennaro Gattuso surely hopes his men can take the positives although he will not be on the sidelines.

Genoa have plans of their own but they now sit in the bottom half of the table and have to search for a return to the winning ways after three games, where Cagliari beat them 1-0 and both Fiorentina (0-0) and Würzburger Kickers (1-1) held them off since. They’ve seen a longer competitive break and this could prove a factor just as well.
