Genclerbirligi vs Konyaspor Match Preview
Konyaspor shocked Fenerbahce (1-0) with a single goal from Rijad Bajic in the first half despite seeing both Nejc Skrubic and Omer Sahiner sent off in the second, travelling to Ankara for their Matchday 27 clash in a good mood and hoping to build on the performance as well as their four-match unbeaten streak.
Anatolian Eagles were held off by Kayserispor (2-2), Kasimpasa (0-0), and Malatyaspor (1-1) beforehand and sit just outside the relegation zone after such a streak. They have shown off as a tough nut, though, and Bulent Korkmaz emphasized the importance of being hard to beat away from home.
Genclerbirligi, on the other hand, earned just one point in their last three outings and sit just two points clear of the 14th placed rivals. They will now be desperate to build on the gap and escape the immediate danger zone rather than dropping into it, which promises a strong challenge on Sunday.
Wind of Ankara have seen losses to Galatasaray (3-0) and Denizlispor (1-0) since early March and only held off Antalyaspor (1-1) along the way, which will be worrying. They have been scoring goals more regularly at Eryaman Stadium as Bogdan Stancu and Giovanni Sio led the attacking line and we do hope to see more of the same.
However, we feel Konyaspor have been in a better place lately and we’ll now stick with the visitors to snatch at least a point in Ankara, going for a Double Chance – Draw or Away win at 4/6 with William Hill.
We should be in for goals and the visitors will have to cope if they’re to do so. With such hopes in mind, we’re now also going for a Yes on Both teams to score at 9/10 with bet365. Neither of the sides could boast great stability at the back and this feels like evidence for such a bet.
