Galatasaray vs Besiktas Match Preview

Galatasaray host Besiktas for their Matchday 26 derby clash on Sunday afternoon looking to bounce to the winning ways after seeing a streak of five wins ended in a thriller 2-2 draw at Sivasspor last week, where Radamel Falcao and Sofiane Feghouli completed a comeback in the first half already but were denied with a second-half equalizer.

Cimbom beat Kasimpasa (0-3), Alanyaspor (3-1), Yeni Malatyaspor (1-0), Fenerbahce (1-3), and Genclerbirligi (3-0) since early February and in-form Falcao led the attacking line to 15 goals along the way – with four of those to his name. They were very convincing in front of the home fans and will have high hopes they can keep it up now as well.

Besiktas have, on the other hand, beaten Alanyaspor (1-2) and Ankaragucu (2-1) over the past two weeks and sit just six points behind the rivals ahead of the trip to Turk Telekom Stadium. They have been far from consistent on the road, though, and this could be more worrying for Sergen Yalcin.

Black Eagles’ win in Alanya was their only second in eight trips across competitions and they obviously struggled to keep it together at the back, which made it hard to capitalize on goals scored. They will need more for an upset on Sunday and we don’t see them up to the task here.

We’ll thus stick with Galatasaray to secure the all-important points in front of the home fans as we go for a Home win at 19/20 with William Hill. We’ve seen them very confident at this ground and we’re now hoping for more of the same from Fatih Terim’s men.

As said, Cimbom have been scoring numbers of goals on the regular and we now expect another exciting game, as we also go for Over 2.5 Goals FT at 3/4 with BetVictor – hoping to see in-form attacking lines and goals on both ends.
