Salford have turned a thriller their way as they beat Eastleigh on penalties after a 1-1 draw despite not creating the better chance on the day, as Chris Neal impressed between the posts and earned them a ticket to Wembley and Promotion play-off Finals against Fylde.

Ammies have been far from impressive and this could be more worrying for Graham Alexander, alongside Adam Rooney’s missing the first penalty and apparently injuring himself. They’ve only bounced back from a two-match losing streak, after being beaten by Fylde (0-1) in front of the home fans and Hartlepool (3-2) on the road.

Fylde have seen four wins in their last five outings, including a narrow 0-1 win at Solihull Moors on Saturday, where a very early opener from Daniel Philliskirk proved enough despite seeing West Midlands rivals go all out for it through most part of the match.

Coasters have proven their worth, though, especially on the road and this was their fourth clean sheet in five trips. They will now want to keep it up at Wembley and we feel Salford will be in for a great challenge, despite being slight favourites to secure fourth promotion in five years.

We will stick our necks out for Fylde to show they’re enjoying a better moment right now as we feel they’ll be able to prove their character and Lift the Trophy, as we back them to it at 11/10 with William Hill.
