Ludogorets have, on the other hand, beat Lokomotiv Plovdiv (2-0) in their last week’s Super Cup clash as Mavis Tchibota opened the scoresheet very early on and Jody Lukoki doubled with just minutes left on the clock. They will now hope for a similar upset at Groupama Arena but should be in for even more of a task.
The popular Eagles have been rather solid through their pre-season too, only seeing Shakhtar Donetsk (a 0-3 loss) interrupting their winning streak where they beat Triglav (4-0), Qarabag (2-0), and Botosani (1-2) with some very solid defensive displays along the way.
We thus expect a very strong challenge but we’ll now stick our necks out for Ferencvaros to overcome it and bag a narrow win in front of the home fans, as we go for a Home win at 31/20 with Coral in hope they can build on their consistency in front of the home fans.
Still, with high stakes involved, we expect both sides employing a tough defensive approach and this should result in few goals in Budapest – as we also go for Under 2.5 Goals FT at 4/7 with William Hill, which does feel like a safer approach to the fixture.
