Espanyol host rock-bottomed Huesca for their Matchday 25 clash on Friday evening looking to build on a three-match unbeaten streak after holding Valencia to a goalless draw last week. They’ve been struggling to escape the immediate danger zone but have picked it up lately and should be motivated to use the opportunity to do so now.

However, Huesca have picked it up lately too and finally closed the gap to an escape from the relegation zone, where Francisco set up a more solid defensive line and his men beat Real Valladolid (4-0) and Girona (0-2) ahead of their Monday’s loss to Athletic Bilbao (0-1) in front of the home fans.

The visitors now hope to bounce back quickly and snatch points at RCDE Stadium too, desperate to keep up in a thriller chase to secure La Liga status at the end of the season – currently lagging six behind Celticos who hover just above the red zone after 24 games played.

Periquitos have beaten Rayo Vallecano (2-1) last time out at this ground and will now be looking for their fourth win in six home outings, boasting a solid goalscoring streak along the way. Borja Iglesias has been leading the attacking line but the Spaniard has struggled to add to his ten-goal tally lately, which could be just as worrying.

We will now stick our necks out for Huesca to put on another solid challenge defensively and snatch an important point in Cornella de Llobregat, as we go for a Draw at 13/5 with bet365.
