Eintracht Frankfurt vs Borussia Dortmund Match Preview
Borussia Dortmund have seen a goalless draw against Barcelona in Champions League midway through the week, where they felt dominant through most part of the game but failed to really capitalize on it with just a point to show in front of the home fans. They now travel to Frankfurt for their Matchday 5 Bundesliga clash and surely hope for more.
BVB have beaten Energie Cottbus (0-5 in a friendly) and Bayer Leverkusen (4-0) in two overpowering displays beforehand and we feel Lucien Favre’s men will be very motivated to impress once again, despite failing to convert midway through the week – as Marco Reus even saw his penalty kick saver by Mark Ter Stegen.
Eintracht Frankfurt have seen a more disappointing week and they now have two losses to bounce back from, where they saw Augsburg (2-1) secure the points on the road and Arsenal (0-3) snatch all three at Commerzbank-Arena on Thursday – with goals from Willock, Saka, and Aubameyang.
Die Adler have thus seen a lengthy winning streak of six games in front of the home fans ended, which will be just as worrying. They have been scoring goals and promise a great challenge, but we feel this will not be enough to snatch any points from the in-form visitors at this point.
We will thus go for Borussia Dortmund to snatch all three points and we’ll do so at 3/4 with Coral, which feels like the best approach to the fixture as Frankfurt struggle to impress after a busy and largely underwhelming summer behind them.
We do feel we’re in for goals and we should still see them on both ends, as both sides’ records suggest nothing different. We’ve seen both scoring (and conceding) on the regular and this has us going for an exciting contest with Over 2.5 Goals FT at 1/2 with Ladbrokes.
