Borussia Dortmund have picked it up where they left off ahead of the winter break and now travel to Frankfurt for their Matchday 20 clash on the back of wins over RB Leipzig (0-1) and Hannover 96 (5-1), extending a streak where they earned nine wins in ten outings across competitions.

BVB have been scoring numbers of goals along the way and now have a six-point gap to garner at the top of the table, which should have them very motivated as well. They’ve shown off both at home and away from it and Lucien Favre can hardly ask for nothing but more of the same.

Eintracht Frankfurt have been more unpredictable as they earned just one win in their last four Bundesliga outings, where they kicked off the new year with a 3-1 win over Freiburg but failed to build on it in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Werder Bremen.

Die Adler have based their top 4 chase on fine performances at Commerzbank-Arena and although they’ve lost on their stability here too, we should now see them searching for another top performance and an upset against the pace-setters – boasting a record of eight wins in last ten home outings across competitions.
